Wave and KBZPay: checking Myanmar wallet fees and limits

A useful fee comparison specifies the channel, account and date. It should not combine agent cash services, app transfers and bank transfers into a single price. The figures below are a snapshot checked on 23 October 2026; the final authenticated quote and applicable provider terms still determine the actual transaction.

Use a dated snapshot rather than a permanent promise

The official Wave schedule lists a maximum wallet balance of MMK 10,000,000, a sending limit of MMK 1,000,000 per transaction and daily cash-out of MMK 300,000. These are different controls, not interchangeable amounts. The displayed page labels its limit table awkwardly, but the row names identify ceilings rather than charges. Before relying on one, check that your account is eligible and that you have not already used the relevant daily allowance. A provider can change rules after this article’s verification date.

Account for the October 2026 receipt rule

Wave’s notice effective 7 October 2026 states a MMK 20 charge for each incoming transaction beyond 500 in a month, beginning with the 501st. This is a count-based condition, not a percentage applied to every receipt. A person checking ordinary transfer fees could miss it by looking only at the app-to-app headline. Count transaction events separately from their monetary total. For business activity, verify the appropriate account and merchant terms instead of assuming a personal wallet’s conditions fit repeated commercial receipts.

Do not invent a comparable KBZPay number

The KBZPay terms reviewed here point users to the application’s limits and fees and allow changes to charges and ceilings. The reviewed public evidence does not establish one current numeric allowance for every KBZPay customer and transaction. Accordingly, this guide leaves that comparison account-specific. Open the authenticated fee screen for the intended operation, note your account status, and ask support to explain any discrepancy. A missing publicly verified number is not zero, unlimited, or evidence that the service is more expensive.

Calculate the actual cost of the intended route

Write down the amount the recipient needs and then identify each stage needed to deliver it. Funding a wallet, sending from it and withdrawing at an agent may be three distinct operations. Record who pays each charge. Compare the total debit with the amount ultimately received, retaining the currency at every stage. For example, a published charge for cash-out should not be added to an app transfer that the recipient will spend directly. Conversely, ignoring a planned withdrawal can understate the real cost of a cash-based household payment.

Check boundaries and time periods carefully

Fee bands often change at a precise threshold. Read both endpoints and whether the published amount refers to the transfer, withdrawal or total debit. A daily allowance can be partly used even if the new transaction itself is below the individual ceiling. A monthly receipt-count rule needs a different counter again. Avoid guessing the provider’s reset time from your phone clock; ask the provider if the timing affects an essential payment. Keep an example quote from your own account rather than relying on another person’s screen.

Treat unexpected charges as a documented discrepancy

If an agent requests more than the provider quote, pause and ask which charge category applies. Keep the displayed fee, receipt and location information. Use official support to query the difference without publishing a customer’s complete account details. A fee table is useful evidence, but an investigation may also need account classification, timing and the actual route used. Do not pay a supposed support fee to a personal account in order to recover a charge. Ask for a case number and a written explanation of the applicable tariff.

A repeatable fee comparison

  • Record the provider, exact account category, transaction channel, amount and verification date.
  • Separate maximum balance, single-operation ceiling, daily totals and monthly event-count rules.
  • Read fee bands with both endpoints and note whether sender or recipient pays.
  • Include only the funding, transfer and cash-out stages that will actually occur.
  • For KBZPay, verify the account’s current authenticated limits rather than filling a public-data gap.
  • Keep the final quote and receipt so that a later discrepancy can be explained.

Frequently asked questions

Are all Wave receipts free?

The reviewed October 2026 rule charges MMK 20 for each incoming transaction after the 500th in a month.

Is the published wallet ceiling the same as the cash-out limit?

No. Holding funds and withdrawing them are different operations with different controls.

Why is there no universal KBZPay fee table here?

The reviewed official terms refer to account and application information; a universal current numeric table was not established.
